Description
Axiomathes is a peer-reviewed journal devoted to the study of ontology and cognitive systems. Its foreground interest in contemporary issues in cognition and ontology, is complimented by background interest in intellectual history. The journal distinguishes itself through the thesis that real advances in contemporary science may depend upon a consideration of the origins and intellectual history of ideas at the forefront of current research.

Topics of interest include how relatively stable and countable "things" emerge from underlying substrata; how we linguistically schematize and express our internal representations; the interconnection and dependencies of things, events, and processes.
Additionally, the journal probes problems of modeling, and links running between the real and the ideal.
